Thoma Bravo Completes Acquisition of Macrovision Software Unit
Private equity firm Thoma Bravo said late Tuesday that it has completed its acquisition of Macrovision's Software Business Unit. San Francisco-based Thoma Bravo said, as a result, that it has created a new company named Acresso Software. The new company will include Macrovision's FLEXnet and Installshield software licensing and installation products, along with the Adminstudio software for asset management and license management. The deal was worth approximatley $200M, and was originally announced in February.
