Altierre Adds $8M
San Jose-based Altierre Corp. said this morning that it has raised $8M in additional funding in a second close of its Series C round. The new funding came from existing investors D.E. Shaw Group and Labrador Ventures, and brings the round total to $30M. Altierre said it will use the additional funding to scale its products. The company has now raised more than $60M for its systems, which includes hardware, software and RFID wireless networks to dynamically change pricing in retail stores. Altierre had announced the intial close of its Series C funding in March.
