Red Envelope Acquired By Provide Commerce
San Francisco-based Red Envelope has been acquired by Provide Commerce, the parent company of ProFlowers. Provide Commerce said that the acquisition followed the bankruptcy auction of Red Envelope yesterday. Red Envelope has been in Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection since April. Financial details of the acquisition were not disclosed.
