Engine Yard Scores $15M
San Francisco-based Engine Yard, which develops a Ruby on Rails deployment platform, said this morning that it has raised $15M in a Series B funding round. The new round was led by New Enterprise Associates, and included participation from Amazon.com and Benchmark Capital. Along with the funding, Peter Sonsini of NEA will join its board of directors. Engine Yard is a developer of a number of open source, Ruby On Rails projects, focused on cloud computing and clustering. Engine Yard said the new funding will go towards R&D of its products.
