Engine Yard Acquires Orchestra
San Francisco-based Engine Yard said today that it has acquired fellow San Francisco software maker Orchestra. Financial terms of the buy were not disclosed. Engine Yard is a maker of platform-as-a-service (PaaS) tools for Ruby on Rails; Orchestra is a provider of PHP platforms. Engine Yard is venture backed by Benchmark, New Enterprise Associates, and Amazon.com.
