Engine Yard Updates Cloud Service
San Francisco-based Engine Yard, which makes software to automate Ruby on Rails programming, said Tuesday that it has rolled out a new version of the firm's Engine Yard Cloud service, and general availability of the firm's Flex service plan. Engine Yard's Flex plan provides resource monitoring and alerts, provisioning of Engine Yard's software stack and software, web server load balancing, and other features. The firm said the Flex plan starts at $349 per month. Engine Yard is venture backed by Benchmark Capital, New Enterprise Associates, and Amazon.com.
