MobiTV Releases Subscriber Numbers, Claims Growth
Emeryville-based MobiTV, which runs a television service for mobile phones, said today that it has passed four million subscribers to its services. MobiTV said its service is now available on more than 350 devices, through more than 15 carrier networks. MobiTV's services allows users to watch television broadcasts from ESNP, NBC, Disney, and others. The service is available through Sprint, AT&T Wireless, Alltel, Telus, Rogers and Bell Canada and others. The firm is venture backed by Adobe, Gefinor Ventures, Hearst Corp., Menlo Ventures, Oak Investment Partners, and Redpoint Ventures.
