MobiTV Trumpets Subscriber Numbers
Emeryville-based MobiTV said today that the firm now has more than seven million subscribers to the firm's mobile television and video-on-demand services. According to the firm, the subscribers include users on Sprint, AT&T, and Alltel. The firm claimed that two million of those subscribers joined in less than six months, and attributed the growth to interest in such content like the March Madness playoffs.
