BioImagene Adds Siemens As Investor
Cupertino-based BioImagene, a developer of digital pathology products, said Thursday that it has added Siemens Venture Capital as a new investor in the firm. BioImagene said that the funding follows the recently close of a $26M Series D financing round, and the appointment of Dr. Ajit Singh--formerly of Siemens Healthcare's Image and Knowledge Group--as its CEO. The Series D round was announced in August. BioImagene said the new funding will go to scale operations at the firm, including continued product development and expansion in Europe and Asia.
