Highland Capital Promotes Salehizadeh, Adds Advisor
Menlo Park- and Lexington, Mass.-based Highland Capital Partners said Tuesday that it has promoted Dr. Bijan Salehizadeh to General Partner, and hired on an advisor, Dr. Elazer Edelman. According to Highland Capital Partners, Salehizadeh is based in the firm's Menlo Park Office, and has been at the firm since 2004 when he joined as a Senior Associate. Salehizadeh is active on portfolio firms BAROnova, Conor Medsystems, Magen BioSciences and Predictive Biosciences. Dr. Edelman will focus on medical technology for the firm, and is a co-founder of Pervasis Therapeutics, and an advisor to Conor Medsystems. Edelman is also a Professor of Health Sciences and Technology at MIT, Professor of Medicine at Harvard Medical School, and a Coronary Care Unit cardiologist at the Brigham and Women's Hospital.
