Aptana Launches Cloud Hosting Offering
San Mateo-based Aptana has launched an online service for hosting Web applications, the firm said Tuesday. According to Aptana, its new product, Aptana Cloud, is an online service which integrates Eclipse software development tools with hosting options for PHP, MySQL, Apache, and Aptana Jaxer. The firm said the cloud offering gives customer access to a hosted source control environment, staging servers, online backup, as well as monitoring and other features. The firm said it will charge 4 cents an hour for access to the service. Aptana is venture backed by Accel Partners.
