Autodesk Comples Softimage Buy
San Rafael-based Autodesk said Tuesday that it has completed its $35M buy of Softimage. Softimage is a developer of 3D technology for the film, television, and computer game market. Autodesk had originally announced the acquisition of Softimage from Avid Technology on October 23rd. Autodesk says it will sell standalone versions of SOFTIMAGE|XSI and SOFTIMAGE|Face Robot 3D software products, with a number of other products being integrated into Autodesk's technology and product lines.
