Turin Networks, Force10 Merge
Petaluma-based Turin Networks and San Jose-based Force10 Networks said today that the firms have signed a definitive agreement to merge. According to the firms, they will operate under the name Force10 Networks. Financial terms of the merger were not disclosed. The firms said that the new firm will be headed by Henry Wasik, President and CEO of Turin Networks, with Force10 Networks President and CEO James Hanley becoming President, Field Operations. Force10 Networks is a developer of Gigabit and 10 Gigabit Ethernet switching, routing, and security hardware; Turin Networks develops Carrier Ethernet products for the wireless networking industry.
