Force10 Networks, a privately held maker of networking hardware, claimed today that it has seen a 25% increase in its fourth quarter bookings, for its quarter ending September 30th. The firm claimed the increase in business came from market acceptance of its switch/router products, growth in the 10 Gigabit Ethernet market, and "market synergies" from its merger with Turin Networks in March. Force10 is venture backed by Advance Equities, Crosslink Capital, DCM Doll, Meritech Capital, Morgenthaler, NEA, Pacesetter Capital, Tudor Ventures, US Venture Partners, Worldview, Ciena, and Motorola.
