The acquisition of San Jose-based
Force10 Networks has completed, according to acquiring firm
Dell. The deal, which had been announced in July, will bolster Dell's data center solutions, the company said today. Force10 had been venture backed by Advanced Equities, Crosslink Capital, Morgenthaler Ventures, New England Partners Capital, New Enterprise Associates, US Venture Partners, and Worldview Technology Partners. In a related move, Force10 formally withdrew its IPO plans this morning, on completion of the acquisition. No financial details of the acquisitoin have been announced.
