Informatica Buys Applimation
Redwood City-based Informatica said Thursday that it has acquired Applimation, a developer of Information Lifecycle Management (ILM) software. The deal is worth $40M in cash. According to Informatica, the buy will expand the firm's addressable market. Chicago-based Applimation counts Aetna Life Insurance, Getty Images, IKON Office Solutions, Starbucks, and others as customers.
