Oracle Expands SaaS Offering For ISVs
Redwood shores-based Oracle has launched a new, software-as-a-service offering targeted at ISVs, the firm disclosed this morning. According to Oracle, it has created a new license specifically targeted at independent software vendors (ISVs), which will allow them to purchase access to Oracle's Platform for SaaS on a monthly basis. That means those vendors will be able to license use of Oracle's database software and related components, depending on growth and end user demand--rather than paying a large upfront fee for use of the components. Pricing on the new offering was not announced.
