SandForce Picks Up $25M
Saratoga-based SandForce, a developer of processors for the solid state disk drive market, announced Tuesday that it has raised $25M in a Series D funding round. According to the firm, the round was led by Cannan Partners, and also included prior investors DCM, Storm Ventures, Translink Capital, LSI Corporation and UMC Capital. SandForce develops processors which are used for flash memory management in solid state disk drives (SSDs). The firm said the funding would help it bring its next generation products to market, as well as expand customer and partner support and technology development.
