, a provider of online technical support services, said Tuesday that it has acquired
Sammsoft
, a developer of PC utility software. The deal was worth $8.5M in cash. Support.com said that Sammsoft's employees would join the firm as part of the acquisition. Sammsoft is based in Seattle and was started by ex-Microsoft employees.
