Scalent Acquired By Dell
Palo Alto-based Scalent, a developer of network virtualization, monitoring and operations software for the data center, has been acquired by Dell, Dell announced Thursday afternoon. Financial terms of the buy were not disclosed. Scalent was backed by Credit Suisse, FirstMark Capital, Hummer Winblad Venture Partners, and JK&B Capital. Dell said it will integrate Scalent's technology into its Advanced Infrastructure Manager (AIM) solution.
