Google Kills Wave
Mountain View-based
Google
said Wednesday afternoon that it has killed off Google Wave, its much heralded systems for allowing users to interact and communicate in real time. The firm said the project, which was launched at Google I/O last year, "has not seen the user adoption" the firm would have liked. The firm said it does not plan to continue developing Wave as a standalone product, but said it will continue to maintain its site at least through the end of the year.
