San Francisco-based
Inkling, a developer of iPad applications for textbook publishing, said last week it has raised funding from Sequoia Capital, Kapor Capital, Sherpalo Ventures and Felicis Ventures. Details of the funding were not announced. Inkling as founded by matt MacInnis, and provides an iPad application which allows users to buy both chapters and entire textbooks. The firm said it has deals with Cengage Learning, John Wiley & Sons, McGraw-Hill, and Wolters Kluwer and other publishers.
