Provigent Now Part of Broadcom
Santa Clara-based Provigent, the developer of mixed signal semiconductrors for the microwave backhaul market, is now officially part of Broadcom. Broadcom said Monday that it has officially completed its acquisition of Provigent, a deal which was originally announced on March 21st. The deal was worth $313M in cash. Provigent was venture backed by Ascend Technology Ventures, Delta Ventures, Globespan Capital Partners, Lightspeed Ventures, Magnum Communications Fund, Pitango Venture Capital, Sequoia Capital, and Stata Venture Partners.
