Kiwi Crate, a new startup focused on delivering activity kits for kids on a subscription basis, said today that it has raised $2M in a funding round, and launched its service. The firm said the funding was led by
First Round Capital, and also included Mayfield Fund, Comcast Ventures,
Felicis Ventures, Forerunner Ventures, Consigliere Brand Capital, UJ Ventures and 500 Startups. Angels participating included Raymond Tonsing and Seth Goldstein. Kiwi Crate offers up monthly project kits focused on creativity, which cost $19.95 per month. The firm is led by Sandra Oh Lin, who was previously GM for eBay Fashion.
