Appcelerator Raises $15M
Mountain View-based Appcelerator, the developer of a platform for developing HTML5 and native mobile wbe applications, announced this morning that it has raised $15M in a third round of funding. The round was led by Mayfield Fund, Translink Capital, and Red Hat. Other investors in the round included eBay, Sierra Ventures, and Storm Ventures. Appcelerator said the new funds goes towards expansion in Europe and Asia, along with development of its platform. The round brings its total raised to $31.5M.
