DemandTec Acquired By IBM For $440M

DemandTec
, which develops marketing and sales software, is being acquired by
IBM
, in a deal worth $440M, the two firms said this morning. According to the two companies, IBM will pay $13.20 per share in cash for DemandTec, making the firm part of IBM's Software Group. DemandTec develops cloud-based software for analyzing customer behavior, and to adjust pricing and promotion tactics. The firm has more than 350 employees.
