Nexenta Systems Sees $21M
Mountain View-based Nexenta Systems, which develops storage software used for deploying enterprise class, cloud storage, said today that it has raised $21M in a Series C round. The round was led by Menlo Ventures, and also included Sierra Ventures and Razor's Edge Ventures. Nexenta said the funding will go towards growth and expansion. Nexenta's other investors include Javelin Venture Partners and TransLink Capital.Nexenta, which is led by Evan Powell, develops software based on ZFS, a software filesystem used for clustered and shared data storage. The file system works with a variety of storage to provide high performance storage to operating systems.
