RiseSmart Finds $2M
San Jose-based RiseSmart, a provider of cloud-based tools which helps in employee outplacement, said this morning that it has raised $2M in a financing round. The round came from Norwest Venture Partners. RiseSmart said the funding brings its total raised to $13.85M. RiseSmart is headed by Sanjay Sathe, and has also previously raised funding from Storm Ventures and angels. The firm's tools help laid off employees find work faster.
