Oracle Acquires Social Marketing Software Firm Vitrue
Redwood Shores-based database giant Oracle announced this morning that it has acquired Atlanta-based Vitrue, which develops social marketing software. Financial terms of the buy were not disclosed. Vitrue's software helps marketers runs campaigns on Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, and Google+. Vitrue was venture backed by Advent Venture Partners, Comcast, Dace Ventures, General Catalyst Partners, Scale Venture Partners and Turner Broadcasting.
