10gen Pulls Up $42M For MongoDB
Palo Alto-based 10gen, the software firm behind the MongoDB database software, said Tuesday that it has raised $42M in a financing round. The round was led by New Enterprise Associates, and also included Sequoia Capital, Flybridge Capital Partners and Union Square Ventures. 10gen said the new funding will go towards product development and support. 10gen is headed by Dwight Merriman, and says it now has 135 employees; the firm's MongoDB database is part of the NoSQL database market.
