, the software firm behind the MongoDB database software, said Tuesday that it has raised $42M in a financing round. The round was led by
New Enterprise Associates
, and also included
Sequoia Capital
, Flybridge Capital Partners and Union Square Ventures. 10gen said the new funding will go towards product development and support. 10gen is headed by
Dwight Merriman
, and says it now has 135 employees; the firm's MongoDB database is part of the NoSQL database market.
