MongoDB Raises $150M For NoSQL Databases
Palo Alto- and New York-based MongoDB--formerly known as 10gen--said last week that it has raised $150M in a funding round for its NoSQL database technology. The funding was led by T. Rowe Price, and also included Altimeter Capital, salesforce.com, Intel Capital, NEA, Red Hat and Sequoia Capital. The company has now raised an astounding $231M in total investment for its big data technology. MongoDB is led by Max Schireson.
