Zimbra, the provider of cloud-based email and collaboration software, has been sold again, and has become part of
Telligent, a developer of online community and customer service software. According to the companies involved, Zimbra has been sold by owner VMware to Telligent, in a deal backed by Intel Capital, NXT Capital Venture Finance, BDCA, Hall Financial Group and VMware. Financial terms of the sale were not announced. VMware had acquired Zimbra for $100M from Yahoo in 2010.
