Virident Snags $26M For Flash Storage
Flash storage provider Virident, which is based in Milpitas, disclosed today that it has raised $26M in a new funding round. The round was led by Mitsui Global investments, and also included Globespan Capital Partners, Sequoia Capital, and Artiman Ventures. Virident makes PCIe-based flash storage cards. As part of the funding, the firm also has tapped former BlueArc CEO Mike Gustafson as its new CEO.
