Leyden Energy Gets $10M
Fremont-based battery developer Leyden Energy said today that it has raised $10M in a Series C funding round for its lithium ion batteries. The firm said the round came from New Enterprise Associates, Lightspeed Ventures, Sigma Partners and Walden International. Leyden said the funding will go towards productization and commercialization of its products. Leyden's batteries are aimed at both the consumer electronics industry, as well as automotive applications. The firm says its technology "significantly boosts" energy density in Lithium ion batteries.
