Liquid Robotics, a developer of autonomous, oceangoing robotics being used for ocean floor mapping and ocean observation and surveillance, said today that it has raised $45M in a Series E funding round. The round was led by Riverwood Capital, and also included existing investors, which include VantagePoint Capital Partners. The firm said the new funds will go towards sales, partner, and services organizations, plus towards new products. Liquid Robotics headed by Bill Vass.
