Abundant Robotics, a developer of robots which automate the process of picking apples (the fruit, not the computer) for growers, has raised $10M in a funding round, the company disclosed today. The funding was led by GV (formerly, Google Ventures), and also included BayWa AG and Tellus Partners, and also included Yamaha Motor Company, KPCB Edge, and Comet Labs. The startup is led by CEO Dan Steere, and is a spinout of SRI International.
