HortonWorks Snags $50M For Hadoop Development
Palo Alto-based HortonWorks, the company which develops and supports the Apache Hadoop, big data software, has raised $50M in a new funding round. The funding came from Tenaya Capital, Dragoneer Investment Group, Benchmark, Index Venturse, and Yahoo. Hortonworks is a spinout of Yahoo.
