Vormetric, which develops data security appliances, said it has raised $15M in new funding. The funding was led by Split Rock Partners, and also included JK&B Capital, Quicksilver Ventures and Sigma Partners. According to Vormetric, which is headed by Alan Kessler, it will use the funds to accelerate growth, development, and international expansion at the company. Vormetric's security products are used for IT operations in the cloud, for virtual infrastructure, as well as traditional servers.
