VisionCare Opthalmic Technologies, a developer of medical devices to treat end-stage Age-Related Macular Degeneration (AMD), says it has raised $15M in funding in a debt round. According to the company, the capital came from Life Sciences Alternative Funding. The company said the non-dilutive financing will go towards commercialization of its products. VisionCare is led by Allen Hill. The company's prior, equity backers include Agate Medical Investments, BSI SA, Generali Financial Holdings, Giza Venture Capital, Newbury Acquisitions Fund/Infinity CSVC Management, ONSET Ventures, Pitango Venture Capital, Saints Capital, and Three Arch Partners.
