UniversityNow, a provider of online university courses, said today that it has raised $19M in a Series C funding round, to help with the growth of self-paced, online universities. The company said the funding round was led by Bertelsmann SE & Co. KGaA, and First Analysis Corp., with participation from existing investors, including University Ventures, Novak Biddle Venture Partners, Kapor Capital, and Bronze Investments. The company said the funding will go toards expansion. UniversityNow said it has now raised $42M in funding. The company runs Patten University and New Charter University, two online degree programs aimed at working adults.
