Google Buys Robotic UAV Maker Titan Aerospace
Mountain View-based Google has acquired robotic drone maker Titan Aerospace, the two said Monday. Financial terms of the acquisition deal were not disclsoed. Titan Aerospace makes robotic drones which are being at at such applications as helping to monitor environmental conditions like oil spills and deforestation, for providing Internet access to remote areas, and other areas. The company's drone technology revolves aroudn "atmospheric satellites" which operate at high altitude.
