Aptina, the developer of CMOS-based image sensors, has completed its acquisition of the Nampa, Idaho-based Color Filter Array (CFA) business of
Micron, the two said this morning. Financial terms of the buy were not announced. Aptina gains a fabrication facility in Idaho, and around 100 staffers, in the deal. Aptina itself is being swallowed by
ON Semiconductor, in an
acquisition announced in June, and still in progress.
