Aptina Imaging Acquired By ON Semiconductor For $400M
San Jose-based Aptina Imaging, a developer of CMOS-based image sensors, has been acquired by ON Semiconductor, in a deal worth $400M in cash. ON Semiconductor says it will use the acquisition to help bolster its business in the industrial and automotive markets. ON Semiconductor said that Aptina had revenues of approximately $532M for the twelve months ending May 29, 2014.
