, a developer of Bitcoin payments software aimed at the e-commerce and enterprise market, has raised $14.5M in a SEries A funding round. The funding was led by Highland Capital Partners. Rakuten also participated in the funding. Peter Bell of Highland joins the company's board. Bitnet is led by John McDonnell. The company is developing an e-commerce platform specifically designed for large merchants to accept Bitcoin.
