Mirantis Finds $100M For OpenStack Distro
Mountain View-based Mirantis, which develops a commercially supported, OpenStack distribution, said today that it has raised $100M in a Series B funding. The funding was led by Insight Venture Partners, and also included August Capital, Intel Capital, WestSummit Capital, Ericsson, and Sapphire Ventures (SAP Ventures). As part of the funding, Insight's Alex Crisses joins the company's board. Mirantis is led by Adrian Ionel, and offers up a supported version of the OpenStack cloud hosting environment for enterprises.
