Platform9 Picks Up $10M For OpenStack Clouds
Sunnyvale-based Platform9, a developer of software to help companies deploy OpenStack, private clouds, has raised $10M in a Series B funding. The funding was led by Menlo Ventures, and also included Redpoint Ventures. Platform9 says its tools helps companies to easily deploy private clouds based on OpenStack. Menlo's Mark Siegel joins the commpany's board with the funding. Platform9 was co-founded by VMware veterans Sirish Raghuram (CEO), Madhura Maskasky (VP Product), Roopak Parikh (VP Engineering) and Bich Le (Chief Architect).
