San Francisco-based
NGINX, which develops widely used, web application optimization and web serving software, has raised $20M in a Series B1 funding, the company said today. The round was led by NEA, and also included e.ventures, Runa Capital, Index Ventures and others. The company's software is used by such customers as Netflix, Pinterest, Airbnb, Box, Instagram, SoundCloud, Zappos and others to deliver their web apps. The company is led by Gus Robertson. The company said the new funds will go towards product development, community, marketing, and geographic expansion outside the U.S.
