Menlo Security, which says it is developing software to eliminate the threat of malware to companies, says it has raised $25M in a Series B funding this morning. The funding was led by Sutter Hill Ventures, and also included General Catalyst, Osage University Partners and Engineering Capital. The company's technology is based on research from University of California, Berkeley, and says it is developing a product which can "completely eliminate" the threat of malware from Web traffic, Web-based documents, and email. Menlo Security is led by Amir Ben-Efraim, previously VP of Cloud Security at Juniper Networks.
