Platform9 Picks Up $22M More For Enterprise, Hybrid Clouds
Sunnyvale-based Platform9, a developer of hybrid cloud software, has raised $22M more in funding in a Series C round. The round was led by Canvas Ventures, and also included Hewlett Packard Enterprise (HPE), Redpoint Ventures, and Menlo Ventures. The company says it has now raised $36.5M. Platform9 develops hybrid cloud software to help enterprises deploy cloud technology within their companies; the company's technology is based on OpenStack. Platform9 is led by CEO Sirish Raghuram, and says it now powers more than 200 clouds for enterprises worldwide.
