Savioke Gets $15M For Hospitality Robots
No, that's not a Dalek standing in front of your hotel room--that's a new robot from Santa Clara-based Savioke, a robotics startup which develops a robot aimed at the hospitality industry. Savioke said today that it has raised $15M in a Series A funding, to advance the company's development of Relay, a robotic specifically aimed at greeting guests at hotels, delivers toothpaste, shaving kits, and coffee to guests, and more. The funding came from Intel Capital, EDBI, Northern Light Venture Capital, Morado Venture Partners, AME Cloud Ventures, and Google Ventures. Savioke is led by Steve Cousins.
